A Great Show Experience

Here is a photo of Eros after his last class at this weekend's www.southfloridahorseshow.com relaxing in his stall having a snack and showing off his ribbons!  He was a rockstar for a green horse and had an excellent show experience.  Thanks need to be given to his trainer Julie Grennan for her time and effort that she has put into this horse as she was a rockstar in the arena with him!  From the moment I set eyes on this horse I knew he was special and never could understand why he was unwanted.  I thank God everyday that he rescued me four years ago and I thank my lucky stars each and every day that he fills my days with smiles and my heart with warmth.

A great weekend of training….

Here is my 4 1/2 year old QHX in training with Julie Grennan, the former owner/operator/trainer out of Coconut Palm Equestrian Center in Homestead. Julie moved to Ocala recently and comes down every other month to help train my youngster!  He is making great progress and for a horse that has a tendency to tie-up has not had any issues now that I have been able to manage his diet and exercise with the help of many professionals.  This is a horse that is going places, though his beginnings were rough.  He was found wandering the streets of Homestead as a six month old and was rescued by the SFSPCA.  No one ever claimed him.  He then had life saving surgery as he had a bone infection due to a tree branch puncturing his neck.  So now, I want to help others who may not know what to do in an equine emergency by hosting an Equine Symposium on Equine Emergency First Aid on Friday, December 6th from 7-9 PM at the Little Yellow Barn located at 22200 SW 152 Ave in Miami.  For more information, please email southfloridahorseconnection@gmail.com.
